The looks for mens fall 2015 fashion are as diverse as they are elegant. Fashion IQ stylists share advice on what trends to buy and how to wear these modern designs, many of which were influenced by the styles of bygone times.
AVIATOR JACKETS
It’s easy to envision a silver screen actor like Gregory Peck or James Stewart wearing an aviator jacket like this in the 1940s, in fact they both did. This masculine and functional jacket has made a strong presence in collections this fall, but truthfully this jacket will be relevant for a very long time. So it’s not just an attractive choice, it’s a practical one too.
OVERSIZED COATS
Oversized coats may be a little less practical, for nothing changes more drastically with the years as the cuts and angles of clothing, but this is an elegant style that will circle round to popularity again and again. Plus, there is nothing more sexy than wrapping your loved inside an overlarge coat with you.
PONCHOS
Definitely a look for the more fashion-forward man— the poncho is a fun and daring change for the man who tries every fashion. If you are one to wear a trend before others dare to, we recommend starting with the poncho this fall.
OVERSIZED PANTS
Wide, oversize pants are also a good choice for the more adventurous dresser. We just caution to be careful what you pair them with, too much bagginess in one look can come off as sloppy. Like the looks featured here, be sure to add a structured blazer or a fitted sweater to keep your look balanced.
THE ROBE JACKET
These jackets look like something Lord Byron himself would not be ashamed to wear. The robe jacket is the perfect symbol for comfortable luxury— so it’s perfect for any gentleman that wants to look like nobility and feel cozy at the same time.
SKIRTS UNDER THE BLAZER
Though some men may be afraid to purchase a ‘skirt,’ we think this is one of the best looks of fall. Please don’t pass it up because you think they aren’t manly… think of the bravery of the Scotts historically who not only lived in ‘skirts’ but fought battles in them too.
VERTICAL STRIPED SUITS
What we think of as the Kerry Grant suit, is coming in some elegant and even more modern cuts this fall. It’s not a bad idea to take some tips from the eternally handsome, late Kerry Grant. The hair is as important as the suit. Keep both looking perfect for a worship worthy look.
