The newly appointed artistic director for the fashion house Roberto Cavalli, Peter Dundas is a golden boy of design. The Parsons The New School for Design graduate takes the spot as one of the most promising designers of our generation. The Norwegian designer’s creative talent, spirit and love for high-octane glamour are what set him apart from the rest. Countless hours spent on figure drawing developed his passion for a female shape and a flair for swirling prints and striking colors. With a penchant for short silhouettes and sex appeal, his idea is “to make clothes you want to take off”.

Formerly a creative director at Emilio Pucci since 2008, he’s an expert of cut, color and pattern. Beginning his career as a design assistant to Jean Paul Gaultier for 8 years in Paris and moving on to work at Christian Lacroix, he was a chief designer for Cavalli in 2002 later becoming a director at Emanuel Ungaro. Peter Dundas’s exuberant deluxe style and superb taste is evident. His new destination at the Italian eponymous label will bring a new wave to the fashion house “to evolve style that combines glamour, tradition, and innovation, recognized worldwide as the signature of Cavalli”. His arrival marks a future transition, injecting his signature youthful and sophisticated edge into the clothing wear with a modern identity and renewed energy. The hunky designer has a relaxed attitude and style, favoring hip-hogging jeans/trousers and fitted jackets, silver buckle belts and key items such as heeled Yves Saint Laurent boots. For Mr.Dundas, a key to a well dressed man or woman is a pair of stylish shoes. We couldn’t agree more.
