Every New Yorker has a closetful of black clothes. And almost all over the world black remains an essential wardrobe staple, especially during fall & winter.
We aren’t saying to dress from head to toe black, though that can be a very sleek look. The truth of the matter is that black is one of the most important staple colors of any wardrobe, and not only for its slimming visual effects. It goes with everything, literally! Even the old fashion faux pas, ‘don’t wear black and brown together,’ has no bearing on the modern age. In fact, we think black pairs particularly beautiful with tan suede.
