WEEKEND EATS: Rebelle NYC

WEEKEND EATS: Rebelle NYC

One of the most anticipated Restaurants in New York opened its doors this past week on the Bowery. Rebelle is the new wine-focused restaurant from Pearl & Ash owners Branden McRill and sommelier Patrick Cappiello. The French eatery features an industrial-chic design, incorporating custom-crafted paintings and textiles, dark wooden tables, exposed brick walls and a big marble bar. The restaurant’s open kitchen is operated by a famed chef of Spring restaurant in Paris, Daniel Eddy.

The menu offers an accessible quality of French cuisine, exploring the french classics in a modern way. Featuring dishes like lamb tartare, scallops with sea urchin, and duck breast with endive, orange, and smoked almonds. The 80-plus page long extensive wine list is quite impressive, featuring French and American wines including classics as well as young winemakers. The multitude of glassware in the space and skylight at the back of the restaurant certainly adds to the decor. Looking at the outstanding wine list and delicious menu, we are certainly excited to experience the food firsthand surrounded by the stylishly european decor. We predict it to be a popular date spot too, judging by the restaurant’s romantically french vibe. Make a reservation to explore this Bowery’s Parisian Dining.
