GET THE LOOK: Pernille Teisbaek

Spring 2016 NYFW, Pernille Teisbaek

At every fashion week we have our favorite fashion attendees, and one of our favorite street style fashionistas is the monochramatically elegant Pernille Teisbaek. At each show we can’t wait to see what she will be wearing. Why? Because the Dutch beauty has mastered minimalistic fashion in a way that is simultaneously feminine, regal, and comfortable… and that is not easy!

During New York Fashion Week more than one outfit by Pernille caught our eye, but here is one that subtly stood out among the others. The best way to describe it is ‘Feminine Wearability.’ Too often truly feminine looks seem slightly uncomfortable, but this ensemble not only makes sense to wear to a fashion show, but it wouldn’t be uncomfortable as loungewear either.

How did she pull it off? Well, the Scandinavian fashion icon replaced the heels we normally see with looks like this, with a pair of pure white sneakers. The other key… both her top and her skirt are structured elegantly but are made of soft movable material. The combination not only looks good but feels good on the body too. And there is nothing more stylish than a woman that feels confident in what she is wearing.

Check out our stylist Natasha Thomas’ picks so you can create your own version of Pernille’s look for yourself.
