Jeff Koons has become one of the most influential, provocative and best-known American artists of our time. The artist was raised in Pennsylvania, and has studied in both Baltimore and Chicago. He moved to New York in 1977, where he still lives today. Koons began his career as part of a wave of Simulationists, who based their ideas on kitsch.
