New York fashion week has passed again, bringing an interesting mix of styles and covetable looks. The designers made statements with abundance of fur, sequins and innovative knits. With collections presenting variations of color, texture and shape. Fashion IQ compiled the top trends for next season as seen on the runways of New York.
1. Opulent Fur:
The covetable outerwear options were endless, with a mix of traditional and modern. Fur took center stage, from skunk-fur stoles to luxurious mink coats of long shapes and stunning rich hues.

2. Button Up:
One of the most prominent detailing of the collections were buttons. Large, singular or paired, it was a unique touch on each garment, from pea coats to clingy knit dresses.

3. Shearling Luxe:
The popular trend keeps reinventing, with designers displaying shearling details and goat-hair pieces reworked into an edgy cropped jacket and ladylike A-line coat.

4. The Fancy Aristocrat:
The generous fur collars added a luxurious feel from capes to fitted coats with a 1930’s-ish vibe. The Noble woman of the modern age.

5. Knit Story:
From cashmere high-necked jumper and ribbed turtlenecks to chunky sweaters and pullovers with creeping crocheted blooms, the knit was an innovative hit.

6. Sophisticated Grunge:
Black was predominant on the runway, detailed with sheer chiffon, leather and some edgy hardware detailing. The all-black look has never looked cooler.

7. Embellished Fantasy:
Sequins, studs and costume gems were one of the main accents in the collections. Seriously embellished attire added the glitz and glamour with an edge.

From patchwork maxi coat to an alligator dress, leather was reformed and deconstructed in various shades of brown, black, navy and garnet leather with a luxe finish.
