For New York City elite, warm weather seasons mean one thing- the Hamptons. This celebrity playground of luxe real estate, world class dining, and stunning beaches could be appreciated by anyone, as long as they have taste in the finer things. While summer has come and gone, there are a few gorgeous autumn weekends left at this legendary New York destination, and Fashion IQ was there to fill you in on all the details.
While some travelers opt for cars to take them there, nothing is quite like landing in the Hamptons via helicopter. While it isn’t cheap, the breathtaking views of Manhattan and Central Park are far better than a view of the interstate, and let’s just be honest- landing in a chopper is a much better way to make an entrance.
Once there, it’s easy to see why this place is so coveted. From Ralph Lauren, to Calvin Klein, To Robert DeNiro, to Sarah Jessica Parker, everyone wants a piece of the hamptons, and countless celebrities do, usually in the form of a luxurious summer estate. It is truly a place of opulence and old-world charm, with a nautical twist unique to this region of the country.
Now don’t get us wrong, while the Hamptons is home to some classic cars, and rustic architecture, it is also a place of beautiful, modern accomodations, and a small, but strong presence of designer and high-end shops. The Hamptons aesthetic transforms not only its visitors, but also its stores, as they all make an effort to match the airy, clean, and botanical feel of the area.
Whether you’re dining dock-side, relaxing on a yacht, or simply enjoying some time away from the city, you haven’t fully experienced a New York summer until you visit the Hamptons. A rich community, not only in terms of finance but also education, culture, and food, the Hamptons are the place to go to make connections with tastemakers, rub elbows with celebrities, and above all, relax in style!
