TREND: The Karate Belt, an unexpected dose of femininity

In a world of the loose-fitting and baggy, a tie belt can bring back the womanliness to a blouson dress, top, or coat. Especially for us curvy women, a belt at the waist can take us from feeling frumpy to feeling lovely. And ultimately, what we feel is way more important for our appearance than what we wear on a given day.

Next to the blouson ensembles, white and other light colors have a tendency to give the appearance of wider spaces. In some places you may feel comfortable with this illusion, in others, particularly the waist, you may not. With that in mind, a black belt can divide the plane where you most wish, like the karate belt shown above.

When you want to feel womanly, a great tie belt is the key. It’s an announcement to the world where the slimmest point of your curves lay, and there isn’t anything more feminine than that.
