FASHION IQ SELECTION : Resort 2015

FASHION IQ SELECTION : Resort 2015

With Christmas holidays behind us, it’s time to pack our fabulous travel bags for some sun and fun. Whether your destination is San Barth, Las Vegas or Dubai, Fashion IQ have selected the special designer resort 2015 looks, catering for any type of woman. The collections offered a variety of transitional layering pieces to be thrown on for different occasions. From sheer chiffon slip dresses and silk gowns to cotton shirtdresses, dense knits and viscose tops to chunky tweeds, accompanied with slouchy trenches and dust jackets.

The resort lines this year were inspired by a combination of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s inspired shapes along with a more sportswear influenced wear with a modern street ready practicality. The color palette ranging from bright cobalt and sky blue to pastels and monochrome color blocking. Showcasing pleated skirts, slim shapes, elongated wide-leg and curvilinear silhouettes. With details of intricate embroidery, floral appliques and patches of sequins, and graphic stripes and prints.

Featuring shrunken cashmere V-necks and wide collared pea coats, liberated 60’s proportions, spare forms and wonky colors, drawstring trousers, raffia skirts and tunic tops as well as leisure suits, A-line dresses and bootcut pants. Accompanied by subversive accessories such as thick-soled sneakers and platform sandals, and suede boots.
