A luxury greenhouse of deliciousness
One step inside Isola Trattoria & Crudo Bar evokes the idea of a beautiful greenhouse. The dramatic glass walls and ceiling, where delicate crystal chandeliers hang elevate the space to feel like a grand jewelry box, and we haven’t even gotten to the food yet!
Their small, but strong brunch menu ties together traditional ideas of breakfast foods, while pairing them with reimagined classics from their Italian roots. Our favorite dish, hands down, was the Tuna Carpaccio Pizza with fontina cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and truffle oil.
We also enjoyed the Insalata Isola, with grilled shrimp, and the Porchetta Hash, with roasted red peppers, potatoes, kale, and eggs. With delicious coffee in tow, our meal came in well under $100. This place is a great value.
If brunch isn’t your forté, Isola is really known for their excellent cocktails and dinner options. Housed in the glorious Mondrian hotel in Soho, the beautiful restaurant isn’t the only thing about the location that is pleasing to the eye. Walk around the hotel, and get inspired, this place is strong on design, down to the finest details.
