Watching a runway show is one thing; getting to try something on from a runway collection is something else entirely; and owning something from a runway collection, well, that’s collecting artwork, not shopping. All those things are particularly true when it comes to the runway collection of Gucci (we apologize that it’s our second post about Gucci this week, but we can’t help over-obsessing.)
There is only one trouble with searching for runway collections… the best pieces are always the hardest to find. Luckily we just live up the street from one of the best places to begin searching for Gucci pieces with the most exclusivity.
The Gucci Beverly Hills store (notably on the infamous Rodeo Drive) is not only one of the most beautiful shops in the area, it’s one of the most amazing Gucci stores in the world. With over 12,000 square ft of luxurious space to peruse the collection, one can get lost in the world of Alessandro Michel for hours. Try everything on or nothing at all… Just walking through the store feels more galleria than retail.
If you do find that you would like something, but don’t know where to begin, take some advice from our creative director, Masha Lopatova. Go casual with a touch of regal. Way too much Gucci for you in one look? Try subbing the sneakers with the Nike Cortez Low Shark in white, like Masha did, and even sub the blue trousers for a pair already in your wardrobe.
